BLADED WEAPONS - Sabre ( primary weapon among the Poles and polish corsairs )

Sabre is the type of sword with a curved blade and it's very common among armies of the eastern Europe.

So it's the very weapon of choice for the Poles, even more, it's like their national weapon and they are usually very skilled with them.

If You think of american cowboys, You think revolvers, and here, if You think of polish soldiers, nobility and cowboys of the XVII century, You think sabres.
Other weapons - both bladed or ranged - are just an addition ;)

So this is also one of the biggest differences between the Poles and the Swedish or other western powers - Poles use sabre, while the Swedish, Dutch, Danish, English etc, use rapiers and broadswords.

Some other useres of the Sabre are:

- Transylvanians
- Russians
- Turks / Ottomans
- Crimean Tatars
- the Cossacks

Sabres might be also used by some soldiers and units from the "polish sphere of influence" - like in the City of Gdansk or by the Courlanders or even Prussians, but since they prefer western-european style, they usually use just rapiers and broadswords, just like the Swedish do.
