CLASSIC PAINTED MOVIE POSTERS - inspirations for book covers

Bellow, in the Gallery, are some great classic movie posters, which I find extremely inspiring when it comes to any kind standalone adventure story, thus, also to my adventure novels.

They usually present a great painted art, but also have the same kind of construction:

* There's the main hero, or a number of maun characters in the center - like with Luke Skywalker in Star Wars

* There are some supporting some close to him  - like R2D2 and C3PO in Star Wars again

* There is a Villain with his henchmen somewhere behind, often hidden in a shadow, since filmakers wanted to keep him a secret... - like Darth Vader and the Emperor in Star Wars... again :)

* and there are some other features shown in the film - like vehicles or locations - like Skystrikers and Tie Fighters in Star Wars... again :)

Propotions can change and characters can move from centre to the left or the right, sometimes they're will be shown in full scale - from head to their toes, or there will be only torsos, or heads etc.

Since my 'Corsair' is a series, I would like to keep all of the cover to all of the installments in some sort of a system. Thus, enemies can change, locations can change, and sequences can change, and color palette may change, but I'd really like them to have some kind of balance in construction, not revolution by any chance ;)

Characters, enemies, locations and sequences make a big difference already, in my own oppinion, and keeping the color palette in a way of reflecting colors of the enemies ( or enemies uniforms ) will be a pretty cool thing.

So, for example, since we have our heroes fight with the Swedes in the first installment, there should be plenty of blue and yellow, since that's the traditional colors of Sweden, of their flags and of their uniforms...

Then again, in isntallment # 3, where Prussians are the villains, I'd like the color palleter to be much darker, gray and blackish, since I want my Prussians to resemble Nazis a bit, and their "feldgrau" gray uniforms etc.

Please, take a look at those inspirational poster below, they are not in any kind of order, it's just the way the Blogger has uploaded them...
