COSSACKS - a faction that gave us one of the main heroes - 'Ostap' - but will also provide enemies in later installments

Cossacks are extraordinary people.

They are kind of like semi independent nomadic warriors, who live in the southern east part of Poland ( today's Ukraine ), called "Wild Fields", because they are like the outskirts of the "civilized world".

I'd say that they resemble American Indians a bit in a way.
Since just like Indians were completely different than most of the Americans of that time, they were also like "out of this world" comparing to the rest of Poland.
They had a lot of charm, but some darker side as well, trying to life a piecefull life most of the time, but also battling against the Poles if necesary, just like American Indians fought with the American Army when treatened .

ARMY UNITS - Polish 'Iron cavalry' ... and the way how one of the secondary characters, 'Halibek', looks like :)

Iron cavalry is one of the most amazing looking polish units, and used ONLY by the Poles, tho, some other eastern faction have somewhat similar warriors as well.

They use plenty of protective stuff - chainmail for upper part ff the body and chainmail helmets on their head. Also bracers to protect their forarms.

Sometimes they also use a gorget/bevor which is more lice a decoration than a piece of protective armor.

Another one of their most recognizable features is a circular shield - kalkan

ARMY UNITS - Polish Dragoons - Horse Infantry... which gave us the look of our main hero 'Kizero'

Dragoons are used ONLY by the Poles, and it's a mixture between cavalry and infantry.

It means that they move on horses and can attack the enemy from the horseback, but their primary objective is to fight as an infantry on the battlefield, or during sieges.
So today we would call the "motorized infantry" ;)

ARMY UNITS - Various types of polish soldiers - their fashion, hairstyles, facial hair, etc...

Here's a post to simply familiarize You with the look of average Poles and polish soldiers from that period.

They look completely different from all of the Western European nations, having their own fashion for both civilians and military personel, somewhat similar to that of Transylvanians or Russians.

Unlike the Swedish, Dutch, English or Prussians, etc etc, most of the Poles don't wear cavalier hats on their heads but polish style kalpaks
